Bluetooth Smart (Low Energy) Technology
Bluetooth Smart (low energy) technology has brought new opportunities to the already well connected and understood Bluetooth world.
The Bluetooth v4.0 specification includes a new low energy mode- devices can choose to utilize ONLY this low energy mode, or pair it with standard, higher speed options as well. Devices that can benefit from BLE include body-word sensors, and other small, low, or remote technologies with little access to power.
Hallsten Innovations is aware of and has deployed Bluetooth Low Energy connected remote sensor devices.
ZigBee is the language that allows you to control everyday products around you and is hearlded by the ZigBee Alliance to to be the simplifying choice for the creation of the Internet of Things. ZigBee 3.0 is based on IEEE 802.15.4, which operates at 2.4 GHz (a frequency available for use around the world) and uses the ZigBee Pro Specification of networking to enable reliable communication in the smallest, lowest-power devices.
Many certified Zigbee products exist in the home automation marketplace. Hallsten Innovations has experience in deploying ZigBee Products that are
- Reliable and Robust
- Low Power
- Scalable Across a Home, or a City.
- and Global in its use of the unlicensed 2.4GHz radio band.
ZigBee us currently undergoing its third iteration of standards and the release of ZigBee 3.0 should be completed in the first half of 2016. Count on Hallsten Innovations to manage and deploy your next ZigBee project.
